The B.C. government released its 2025 Budget this week, outlining key investments that may impact local businesses.

As a business community, it’s important to stay informed about new funding opportunities and economic initiatives that could affect your operations. Whether it’s infrastructure investments or workforce development programs, understanding the budget’s implications can help you plan for the year ahead.

Budget 2025 has made significant investments in tax credits for film, TV, animation, and video game sectors, which will help attract more production and jobs to the province.

BC Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Fiona Famulak released the following statement in response to B.C. Budget 2025:

“Today’s budget is sobering for both businesses and British Columbians. It does not deliver the economic incentives, tax changes, programs or policy shifts that are required to kick-start our economy and which we have been advocating for since before the last election,” said Famulak.
